The best thing to do is to take your truck's registration to the parts department of your local Ford dealer. They need this to verify that you actually own the vehicle and they use the VIN code on the registration to look up the codes in their computer system. They can cut you a new key using the code.
also...the selling dealer keeps the actual chips that were with it when it was new. they keep them in the "jacket" in a vault or secure file system in their dealership finance office. codes are on the chips and the chips are on keyrings
locksmiths have a keyalike procedure that is available to them thru their books. they remove your old parts to identify your needs. discuss it with them to see. dealers can choose to provide the chip to the owner as a service
