SOURCE: land rover freelander td4 2003 dashboard warning

Usually brake light switch. It may be adjustable or may need switch replacing. Having said that, I've never checked the brake lights when those warning lights come on. Get a torch and lay an your back in the footwell... shine it on the brake pedal bracket and locate the switch; its a grey thing that looks a bit like a *** lighter and wedged between a load of loose spagettitwist it about 45 degrees anti-clockwise and it should come out, then get hold of the black plunger bit sticking out and pull it out a bit gently!!!it has a sort of ratchet in it, then reconnect it.

keep us updated.

How add auxiliary backup light with remote control

Adding an auxiliary backup light with a remote control involves a few steps. Here is a general overview of the process:
  1. Choose your backup light: Select an appropriate backup light that is compatible with your vehicle's electrical system and can be controlled with a remote. You may want to consider factors such as the light's brightness, durability, and mounting options when choosing a backup light.
  2. Plan the installation: Determine where you want to mount the backup light and where you will run the wiring. You may need to drill mounting holes and install brackets or other hardware to secure the light in place.
  3. Wire the backup light: Connect the backup light's positive and negative wires to your vehicle's backup light circuit. This circuit is typically located at the rear of the vehicle near the taillights. You can use a test light or multimeter to locate the correct wires.

Sounds like your instrument cluster is defective. It basically controlls all vehicle electronics indie the vehicle. It replaces what was known as a Body Control Module (BCM). Here is an explanation of what the cluster involves. The ElectroMechanical Instrument Cluster (EMIC) in this model also includes the hardware and software necessary to serve as the electronic body control module and is sometimes referred to as the Cab Compartment Node or CCN. The following information deals primarily with the instrument cluster functions of this unit. Additional details of the electronic body control functions of this unit may be found within the service information for the system or component that the EMIC controls.
The EMIC is designed to allow the vehicle operator to monitor the conditions of many of the vehicle components and operating systems. The gauges and indicators in the EMIC provide valuable information about the various standard and optional powertrains, fuel and emissions systems, cooling systems, lighting systems, safety systems and many other convenience items. The EMIC is installed in the instrument panel so that all of these monitors can be easily viewed by the vehicle operator when driving, while still allowing relative ease of access for service.
Accessory Power Delay Relay Control - The EMIC provides timing and control for the accessory power delay relay based upon inputs from both the ignition switch and the door ajar switches.
Audible Warnings - The EMIC electronic circuit board is equipped with an audible tone transducer and programming that allows it to provide various audible alerts to the vehicle operator, including chime tones and beep tones. An electromechanical relay is also soldered onto the circuit board to produce audible clicks that emulate the sound of a conventional turn signal or hazard warning flasher.
Automatic Headlamps Control ,Brake Lamp Control,
Brake Transmission Shift Interlock Control, Compass Mini Trip Computer Support, Electronic Transfer Case Interface, Enhanced Accident Response Support, Exterior Lamp Load Shedding , Exterior Lighting Control , Exterior Lighting Fail-safe, Fuel Level Data Support , Heated Seat Control, Horn Control, Entry (RKE) or Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS), Interior Lamp Load Shedding , Panel Lamps Dimming Control, Power Locks, Remote Keyless Entry, Remote Radio Switch Interface, Vehicle Theft Security System Control, Wiper/Washer System Control, The microprocessor-based EMIC hardware and software uses various inputs to control the gauges and indicators visible on the face of the cluster. Some of these inputs are hard wired, but most are in the form of electronic messages that are transmitted by other electronic modules over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus.

Your best bet , take it to the dealer

Where is my door chime located impala 2002

It comes through the radio an left front speaker .
The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio generates the audible warnings through the left front speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via the class 2 serial data line. If the radio receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The Multifunction Alarm generates the audible warnings on vehicles with RPO UL5 -- Radio Delete Option. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:
The radio activates the door ajar audible warning as requested by the body control module (BCM). The BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio indicating the chime frequency of a medium rate and at a continuous duration. The door ajar warning sounds and the door ajar indicator illuminates when the following occurs:
  1. The body control module (BCM) determines that the driver's door is open and the signal circuit low. The IPC receives a message via class 2 from the BCM requesting illumination of the door ajar indicator.
  2. The vehicle is not in park. The BCM receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the gear position.
Class 2 Serial Data Link
The class 2 serial data link allows the following modules to communicate and share data with each other:
?€¢
Auxiliary Power Drop Connector

?€¢
Body Control Module (BCM)

?€¢
Driver Information Center (DIC)

?€¢
Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM)

?€¢
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)

?€¢
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

?€¢
Radio

?€¢
Remote Playback Device-CD Player (if equipped with UQ3)

?€¢
Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM)

?€¢
Vehicle Interface Unit (VIU) (if equipped)

The class 2 serial data link allows a scan tool to communicate with the above modules for diagnostic and testing purposes.

Instrument lights for 1995 Isuzu rodeo don't work

Since it's highly unlikely all your instrument panel bulbs are blown (that usually only occurs if a faulty alternator puts out excessive voltage), it can be several things.
Have you checked your taillights and brake lights? Reason I say, many vehicles are designed to not illuminate the instrument panel lights if both taillights are out (a safety feature and tell-tale warning to the driver). If the taillights are ok, it may have a bad dimmer resistor for the inst panel lights, presuming the fuse that controls the dash lights is good. The other possibility is a faulty ground connection to the instrument panel circuit board or wire loom.

The alarm system has activated and we cannot disarm the system via the Remote Key Fob or by key at the doors or hatchback. Tried disconnecting battery same problem. When the doors open the system...

Hi Edward:
In dashboard, your THEFT warning light is blinking? If the answer is yes, your antotheft system is activated and will need restart and resynchonized. This occurs when battery is disconneting or other un-authorized key is used.

Vehicles equipped with Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) are protected from vehicle theft andunauthorized entry. VTSS system monitors vehicle doors, hood, liftgate and ignition. If an attempt is made toenter or operate vehicle without proper disarming of system, vehicle horn will sound, headlights, taillights andparking lights will flash, and engine will be prevented from running.

VTSS system arms when ignition is off, vehicle is exited, door is locked using power door locks and door isclosed. Alternatively a remote keyless entry transmitter can be used to arm system. A security light on panelwill flash for 15 seconds to indicate system is arming. At the end of 15 seconds, if no door, hood or tailgate isopened, system is armed.

If alarm is triggered, horn will sound for 3 minutes, and lights will flash for an additional 15 minutes. If hornsounds 3 times when either front door is unlocked, vehicle has been tampered with (tamper alert). If doors arelocked manually or with key, system will not arm (manual override). If an unauthorized entry does occur, VTSSsystem signals Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to prevent vehicle from being driven. PCM reduces injectorpulse width to zero, causing a start and stall condition.

System can be disarmed with the keyless entry transmitter, or by using key to enter vehicle. In both instances, if alarm was activated, vehicle alarm will be terminated. If battery is disconnected and reconnected, alarm will beactivated and it will be necessary to disarm system as indicated.
