Transmission range sensor location

It is located on the transmission itself. It is typically mounted on the outside of the transmission housing, near the gear selector lever linkage.
To locate the transmission range sensor on a 2008 Toyota Corolla, you may need to access the underside of the vehicle. It is generally found on the driver's side of the transmission, near the front or middle portion of the transmission case.

throttle position sensor is located on throttle body, ad is usually replaced when bad.

The transmission range sensor is located on the right hand side of the valve cover right below the valve.

The range sensor or neutral safety switch as some call it is mounted on the outside of the transmission where the shift cable post is located, the sensor goes over the post. See picture below.

it is on the top of the transmission under the transmission shift cable post, here is a picture of it.
