I ran out of gas now with 10 gallons of gas the truck won't start.
It will turn over but sounds like it's not getting fuel.
Depress shrader valve on fuel rail and see if pump primed,If primed take air snorkle from throttle body of and use carb cleaner to gett running,Some one can keep giming short burst or cleaner to thottle boby inlet till air gets out of system.Have seen this before.Air trapped in injectors.
You have to do two things. One have someone hold the Schrader valve on the fuel rail open then cycle the key on and off that’s to the run position not the start, once you get fuel to the Schrader valve you should be able to get it to start. If not you have most likely burned up the fuel pump, when there is less than a 1/4 tank of gas the fuel pump gets hot and burns up because the fuel is the cooling medium for the electric motor.

hi the major problem is due to the single spade type connector going to a switch.. By means of a throttle
pulley disconnected it and ur problem will be solved very simple... The switch must have gone bad...

you probably have air in the lines, if you have a carb, spray some quick start into the carb and turn it over, if it starts and then dies when the starting fluid has run out, you probably need a fuel pump, since the running of the car should have blown out any air that was in the line, If your car is fuel injected, loosen the bolt cap at the end of the injector line that supplies the fuel,, and tap the key once,, ( don't start it,, ) just turn the key on and off 3 or 4 times, this should blow fuel out of that loose bolt head, if it does your getting fuel, if not, back to the fuel pump, also you can check this link, http://www.aa1car.com/library/us1296.htm
