Several Electical Problems w/2004 Navigator

These problems began in this order: 1} Back hatch won't open using remote or the button on upper council. 2} Radio don't turn off when you turn the vehicle off & open the door. 3} Heat/Cool seats don't work. 4} Advance track like is stuck on. The battery will not stay charged. When we do charge it, the charge only last 6-12 hours. We've taken it to our mechanic we've always used & trust, but he's out of possibilities. He keeps getting the error message that something's wrong with the back hatch. He disconnected the hatch & it still is not working. Also all the fuses in the fuse box located on the passenger side under the front dash have been checked. Any suggestions?

That auto has lots of mini computers to keep everything working. I would try a new battery after leaving the old battery disconnected for an hour. If everything works, run test light to determine if and where there is a drain on the battery.

I have a 2004 Lincoln navigator my radio will not turn on I checked all the fuses are all good also my door locks won't work and my back hatch won't open and my window on my driver side won't roll down...

There is a fuse on back of the radio , but I’d check all fuses because you’ve got several problems.

You may have a wire broken between the drivers door

Lost remote need to open back hatch on buick rendevous 2004

You can buy replacement key fobs for it on the Internet. It is the only way I can open my hatch. Mine broke where the keychain went so I ordered a couple off of Ebay. They are pretty inexpensive and you can get different colors. You just have to order ones specifically made for your car. They will give you directions on how to program it to use with your car. My dealer emailed them to me. It mainly involves pressing buttons on the fob and taking your key in and out of the ignition. Very easy to do. Hope this helps. The remote was the only way I could open my hatch as the touch pad dosen't work. I found a place to order one and will be replacing it along with the hatch strap.

Automatic side door will no longer open with remote or console button in car. Also, both side door's locks will not pop up using all of our 3 remotes (1 door is automatic, 1 is manual). Lastly, the back...

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

Problem The rear hatch door will not unlock.

First, on the rear hatch, there is an actuator. On FX, when you close the trunk, it kind of **** the hatch closed all the way. When you press lock on the remote, this same actuator locks it as well.
Now,
1) when you unlock the car from the inside, go back there and press the button to open the hatch door manually, do you here any noises?
2) Close all doors, go back close to the hatch button and using the remote , lock the car and then unlock the car. you should hear a sound from the actuator locking and unlocking the lock on the rear hatch!

If you don't hear this, your actuator is inop.
Next step would be to check the fuses inside the car, on the left bottom driver side, and outside on the battery compartment.
It might be just a fuse.
If all fuses check ok, your actuator is most likely gone! Not ea expensive fix, just time consuming!

NOW, if you can hear the noises, then something is either broken inside the actuator or one of the cables is loose!
Hope that helps.
Also, what year and miles on your fx?

Need to manually open trunk

Do the power window buttons and lock/unlock buttons work on your drivers door? If not you probably have a broken wire in the black boot going from the chassis to the drivers door. Pull the boot back from the door and you'll find a wire broken. Add a piece of wire and solder back together and wrap in black tape or heatshrink and replace boot. Then your unlock button should open rear hatch. Hope this is your problem because it is an easy fix.
