Car wont start when turn key wont spark
SOURCE: i have a hyundai lantra
Turn off ALL heating or cooling, lights and radio before you try to start.
If you have a Volt meter check if the battery has approx. 12V / DC.
Check if the fuel filter is blocked.
Check if the cables leading to the spark plugs are damaged.
If the cables are OK see if you even receive a spark. Unplug one of the spark plug cables and carefully push back the insulation. Ask somebody to crank the car for a second while you hold the cable close(about 1/4" distance) to the engine block. You should see a spark. Be carefull not to get shocked, because that spark has a couple of 100ed Volts!!! Really only crank for one second to prevent damage to the engine even if it looks cool ;-)

SOURCE: Topping up gearbox oil on 99 Hyundai Lantra (manual)
You can actually do it from the top if it is similar to a 2001 Elantra??? On your right center of the tranny, there should be two big bolts I believe a 17mm one on the bottom left the other top right of the other. The bottom left is the drain plug the top right is where you fill it. If you want to make things easier you can remove the air cleaner and the air cleaner housing then unscrew the sensor on top of the tranny you can poor it in from the top. You will need to then unscrew the fill hole (Top right bolt) Pour the lube in to the hole where you had taken out the sensor until it pours out of the fill hole. Sounds like more work but by doing this you will avoid making a mess trying to fit the squeeze bottle into the tiny hole. Hope this makes Sense????
SOURCE: torque wrench settings for 97 hyundai lantra 1.8
They use throw away bolts. One use only, so don't reuse your old ones. You will need new ones. The smaller bolts 1st torque setting 22Ft/Lbs and the larger 26ft/lbs, the 2nd torque setting 60 degrees both bolt sizes and the 60 degrees for the third.
