I suggest that you take the starter motor to an accredited auto electrician as it indicates a dry joint problem in the armature bars
the fix is
the bars can be re-soldered
or My preference -- a new armature

If an AC compressor runs continually then the vehicle's system thinks the AC is on MAX which should only be used in desert conditions. The compressor should cycle on an off when it is on normal AC.
i would change the knock sensor first. if that doesn't fix the problem then a complete tune up would be the next step. but if the sensor has no resistance that is where i would start
