Hi Darla, your best bet is to go the dealer and get it checked up before it fails totaly. It has a fail safe for when the engine is sick it goes into 'limp home' mode. Hope that helps. Greg.

SOURCE: my truck loses power

In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.

SOURCE: 1998 chevy K1500 timing runs ok for 10 miles then loses all pwr

1-timing on truck is ajusted by ecm, when u moved it u cause cam sensor code because it detected timing was off! 2-o2 sensors has the role of detecting air to fuel ratio coming out of exhaust, sends signal to ecm wich collects data from other sensors from that sets timing for best performance,if ecm detects something wrong in system data it will give engine code, that code will point at problem area,in your case o2 sensors probably detected lean fuel ratio that points to fuel system, blocked fuel filter or fuel pump faillure, elect, circuit damage, hope it helped!

I have the same exact truck as you do and had a similar problem awhile ago when i installed the hypertech system. I had to uninstall the hypertech and then have a buddy (cause i did not know how) drain the residual power from the brain... apparenlty the brain houses a small amount of power and remembers these codes so after you turn off your truck...poof there they are again. This worked for me, but then I had other electrical problems so I the dealership had to replace the brain.

You need a dealer, there is a real problem going on here, way over the head of any home do it yourselfer. The main reason is the special tools required to interface with the control modules that are throwing these codes

2002 chevy 6.6 duramax wont start even in warm weather or after motor is warm..... only starts with starting fluid. codes are p0335/p0193/poo87/p0090

The Duramax fuel filter assembly is bad about sucking air. Replace the fuel filter assembly. It comes with a new fuel filter.
I need some good feedback.

Truck fails to start

The 01 DuraMax trucks do not have a block heater, unless they were special ordered with one. Just turn the key to the on position a few times before you try to crank it, and hold the accelerator partially down while doing it. However, don't hold the accelerator if it starts to crank, it DOES need a minute to warm up before being revved. Also, use a diesel treatment when its cold, it helps a lot.
