00 vw bettle air condition air is not cold, but full of freeon, what to check, also heat is
You dont have freon at your ac , you have R134A gas. Second thing is what was the pressure on HP and LP after ac service, how much gas was added. The second thing is what climate control you have at your car, if automatic check dtc, if manula check connection on relay for ac clutch. Its very easy to find but i need more details ...

Replacing the serpentine belt on a New beetle is not easy as it was on the old one.
First you need to remove the Water tank, and undo the hoses near to the water tank.
Then you remove the three bolts securing the tensioner with a 13mm socket wrench, and release the tensioner.
Then you replace the belt.
The procedure is explained here on pages 2 to 5, do not go over page 5, the rest of the procedure is on replacing the timing belt, and you risk to damage your car by touching the timing belt.
Once you replace serpentine belt, ensure that the pumps is running, that the belt is well in tension, and that is solidly there, not slipping out.
All the repairs must be done or supervised personally by a qulified mechanic.
Regards.

chances are if you system was serviced by modern equipment then they would have pulled a vacuum before recharging .. that would eliminate moisture in the system .. the evaporator is inside your heater box .. you cant see it .. the condenser is the radiator like device in front of your engine cooling radiator ..
if the system is changed properly and still does not work or works intermittantly . then there is a good chance that the air conditioner clutch electronic module is bad .. thats a relay like device located on the drivers side behind the dash .. you have to snap off the dash side panel .. its normally hidden by the door .. inside that is the fuse panel and behind that is the relays/electronic modules .. the one that operates the air conditioner clutch is marked 384 .. there are other possibilities depending on your a more precise description of the problem ..
