When I slow down to stop the car dies. The battery light turns on, but the lights, radio, air, and everything else continue working. I have to put the car in park, and it usually restarts after turning the key over one or two time, but I have to continue to pump the gas so it doesn't shut off again before I start driving.

check the batterie again also try to jump start the car, and if it does run while you jump start it, then most likelly your alternator is not chargin

with the battery fully charged try scraping the positive over the terminal on the battery and see if it sparks like a draw is sucking out amps if theres no draw on the battery it wont spark at all (good) if it sparks (bad) you have something grounded and killing your battery.. gl

Try changing your fuel filter and checking your fuel pressure. Can always try runiing injecter cleaner after new fuel filter put in. Good luck

Try disconnecting the negative cable on the battery. Wait at least 5 minutes and recconnect it. I can't say this will work. But on some of the cars I've worked on, the electronic modules (lamp drivers) that control these lights need to power down for a few minutes to reset. If the mechanic that installed the alternator didn't disconnect the battery this may be the fix. Maybe, not sure, but worth a try.
