these cars have whats called a ribbon that carries any signals from the steering wheel, like cruise controls air bag and horn they can be pretty spendy get one from the dealer to ensure the correct part.
there could be a horn relay bad, if your car is so equiped or the horn button could be bad. wiring could be bad or the horn itself. if you can jumper 12 volts from the battery to the horn, you can eliminate the horn.
AXCESS RHE A/C CLUTCH RELAY , THIS SHOULD BE FOUND
IN ENGINE BAY.
SWITCH A/C CLUTCH RELAY WITH HORN RELAY.
US THIS AS A TEST ONLY ,
START VEHICLE , TURN A/C ON , SEE IF LIGHT IS FLASHING?
IF NOT FLASHING A/C RELAY IS BAD.
SWAP THE HORN RELAY BACK TO ORIGNAL LOCATION.
REQUIRES NEW RELAY.
IS DOES NOT FIX , THERE MAY BE A LOW STATE OF CHARGE IN SYSTEM , HAVE TRAINED TECH. DIAGNOS
The most common cause is that the ribbon contact drum under the steering wheel is faulty and has a broken filament. The part is called the "clock spring contact drum"
