None of my Gauges are working on my 2000 intrepid. The back lighting works but the gauges themselves do not work. I alos noticed that the A/c does not work and no A/c light. Same wiht the rear window defog light. The fan control works however it is stuck on full hot in the feet position. suggestions? I think they are all related. the odemeter os not clicking off mileage as well as the Trip meter. the odemeter only works when the door is open. as soon as I shut the door the odemter goes off and does not come on.

There should be an instrument panel fuse in the fuse box located inside the car. Check the fuse and replace in needed.

Replace the switch on the steering Colum it has gone bad not a big deal to change.

Well that seems like a pretty simple but aggrevating fix, either the ground wire or power supply wire contact has been broken. The odometer, is it coming on? I am assuming all from this model year have the digital odometer which lights up. First thing I'd do is look under the dash at every wire that might have come loose due to being kicked by a foot or a plug damaged somehow. If none of them are damaged or obviously broken then check the back of the light switch next and then last look at the back of the guages.

Do it again . you'll find the problem

If the fuse for the cluster is good, then you need a new cluster circuit board.

Try replacing the fuse, on the 2004's the number 14 fuse supplies the sunroof and cluster (gauges), etc. Not sure if the number 14 fuse supplies the same things on your 2000 dodge but worth a try. If you have a manual it will tell you. This will more than likely be your problem if not let me know. To locate the #14 cavity remove the cover to the fuse box and look on the underside of the cover to find the location.

It is possible that the connector came off the back of the circuit board behind the speedometer. Do the lights work IN the speedometer and gauges? Could also be that the ground wire loosened up under the dash, usually on the drivers side. Just some suggestions that I thought might help. Best wishes to you.

When the bonnet was removed the antenna wire was pulled loose. It is a ground for several components and when it was plugged back in everything came back to life.

check the ground cables and follow them all the way to the end on the battery, if they are loose or corroded this might be your easy fix
