SOURCE: Won't crank....seems as if its not getting spark.

sounds like a fuel pump problem. if you have ran out of gas, the fuel pump probably is burned. with the new battery the engine crank?? if your answer is yes, im sure the problem is the fuel pump.

SOURCE: P0102 Code on 98 Chevy 2500 van

Check to see if the pink wire on the mass air flow connector has voltage with key on.It come's from fuse #15 inthe under hood power box. Also called eng 1 fuse.If voltage is present try the old trick of using carb cleaner to see if you have a vacuum leak.that will also cause a high idle oon fuel injected veh.If you can't find anything ther your going to need to see your mechanic to trace the trouble tree down for that code. There is a long process for that code. Good luck.

Testimonial: "Very good advice, tried all. I now have replaced the throttle positioning sensor and cleaned the idle air control valve. Working but engine light on"

SOURCE: 98 chevy suburban, code reads mass air flow sensor

Check the wire leads and clean them before reconnecting the wire leads. It wouldn't hurt also to clean the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner, the code your getting is most common to the high performance oil base filters like K&N.

Good luck and this should help you resolve your MAF issues. Thank you for using Fixya

SOURCE: 2003 CHEV AVALANCHE 5.3 HAVE

Hello' With carburetor cleaner check for vacuum leaks around the rubber hoses coming off the intake manifold. Check for leaks at the intake manifold where it mounts to the engine. If engine speeds up when you spray that means you have a vacuum leak.

I was driving and lost 3rd and drive while driving my 2005 chevy avalanche

Chevy TH 700R4 and TH 4R200 overdrive automatic transmissions have this problem at times. 3rd gear is as high as it will go when in "limp home" mode. This is so you can get home but not hurt the trans any farther. Reason being, you're overdrive clutch pack is burned out and needs a rebuild. Rebuild is cheaper than new replacement.

Where is pressure regulator located 2006 chevy avalanche

pressure regulator ???? For what , fuel system ? ABS etc .... If fuel pressure reg. inside gas tank The fuel pressure regulator is a part of the fuel sender assembly, eliminating the need for a return pipe from the engine. A returnless fuel system reduces the internal temperature of the fuel tank by not returning hot fuel from the engine to the fuel tank. Reducing the internal temperature of the fuel tank results in lower evaporative emissions.

My 2003 chevy avalanche has been having the REDUCED ENGINE POWER warning and the engine cant acelerate.

I'm an owner who had this problem on / off for a year. Several returns to dealership proved hopeless. Service shop devulged that '03 Avalanches had a overall electric problem that could not be detected. I legally forced dealership's hand...They replaced the entire wiring harness at no cost. No problem since. George

the post that everybody refuse to read or acknowledge is the first simple instruction
when ever there is a problem , have the fault codes read first
it is free at autozone and other parts shops
then knowing what the problem is you can have it fixed at an accredited service center for less money that fixing what is not faulty costs
