To replace the heater core in that model truck you will need to remove the whole dash, steering colum. Then discharge the A/C and remove the heater/a/c case. It is a time consuming job and difficult without the proper tools and info. If you are going to attempt this then be sure to disable the air bag system by disconnecting the battery for at least 10 min. before you start working. Good Luck
The heater core on this truck is buried under the passenger side of the dash and is a very complicated thing to replace. It must be done or the coolant will run out and the truck will overheat. Use a reputable shop and plan on being without the truck for 1 to 2 days.
To replace, you must raise vehicle, detach both hoses running to heater core by firewall. Than on inside, you must remove bottom console, than remove plastic heater core cover without breaking, remove metal strap, remove heater core.
