Radio Problems Hello. My radio and CD player in my 2006 E350 were working fine this morning, but the problem first appeared when I went to lunch a few hours later. When I press the power button, the Mercedes Benz logo comes on for about 10 seconds and then the screen goes black. No audio plays during this time nor does the message about "Use of the COMAND must not interfere with driving" appear. Also, I am unable to open the in-dash CD player using the button below the hazard light switch. The radio has always worked fine and my car has not been in an accident or suffered any damage. Could it be a bad fuse or could it be something else? I know where the fuse panel is located, but I do not know what kind of fuse to use or what number fuse the radio power is. If not a fuse problem, what else could I try? Thanks. John

Radio, CD player, and clock went out on 2006 Dodge Dakota

Idid see a service bulletin concerning radio. sound and display lost after engine crank. turn key off, then back to accessory position, radio functions work. the fix is to reprogram radio with new software. I also saw several codes listed for radio, they were manufacturer specific codes. did you check for codes?

The CD and cassette players do not work.

2004 cadillac srx cd player jammed

I had the same problem. disconnect the battery cables. then reconnect them. this will reset the cd player and it should relaese all your cd player problems.
this happened twice to me and the above worked fine both times.

its your battery! there are 2 the main battery and one for the the computer. check both to see which one it needs to be replace.

GM had insturment cluster problems 2003 to 2006 . Inside is a part called a stepper motor , this stepper motor controls the gauge position .

I would start with the fuse if you have your car manual it locates where the fuses are located and what size you need you might have one for the amp and the other for the radio or cd player before going to far with all this check fuses all if have to one by one

Thanks for your response, Richard. I took it to the dealership today and it turns it that it wasn't the fuses at all. Somehow, the COMAND software itself became corrupted, so they reinstalled an updated version and now it works better than ever. I swear this stuff only happens to me.

check battery make sure its cable is tight. charge battery or jump start it .once you get it running check alternator out put.it should be 13.5 to 14.5. while engine is running.if its 11.8 to 11.0 or lower its the alternator. if all is good. your battery has a bad cell.need to replace it.
