Why does it sound like there is a trumpet in my engine when I stop at a stop sign or signal light?

Why does it sound like there is a trumpet in my engine? now I have noticed that it happens mostly in Drive, and if my foot is not on the gas pedal, and this noise starts, it seems to accelerate on its own, then once I push the gas pedal, it stops just for a moment, then starts up again

SOURCE: engines idles rough and shuts off

  1. Answer: The engine noise, it is impossible for us to help you here without listening to the engine ourselves. As for your idling problem, check all the vacuum hoses and intake manifold gaskets as you might have a slight vacuum leak somewhere. In addition, check the idle speed control motor to make sure it is operating properly. If all checks out okay, scan the computer for fault codes. Scan the computer for fault codes. Also, check the oxygen sensor and coolant sensors and also Check your EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve it sounds like it is stuck open and needs replacing

SOURCE: Loud rattling noise while accelerating

First thing i would try...... ISOHEET, Red bottle..... allows water to be mixed into the fuel and be burnt out of the tank.
get a good qaulity fuel injection cleaner, if you can locate the brand MALCO, i found it quite succesful..... and go with a full tank of premium fuel such as ammoco or shell......do not use yellow bottle of heet

Check engine light is blinking and alert of engine oil low when stopping at lights or stop signs

Sounds like you have a low oil pressure condition and need to get it looked at immediately, if not sooner, or you might be looking at catastrophic engine failure.

94 ford aspire horn won't work, clicks but doesn't honk

Take a test light directly to the horn wire at the horn itself. Have someone push the horn button and see if it lights up. If it does that means you have good voltage comingto the horn trumpet. If that's the case that means it's time to replace the horn trumpet.

94 ford aspire horn won't work, clicks but doesnt

Youwill need a test light and a second person to help you do this test. While someone is pressing the horn button you need to place a test light at the actual horn trumpet wire. If your test light lights up when they press the button that means you have good boltage coming into the horn. That would mean it is time to replace the trumpet. If you do not have power coming to the horn trumpet then it could be the wire from the relay. Hope this is helpful to you. Have an awesome day and God bless you

Y the stop engine oil light comes on with a buzzer sound

May want to have to oil pressure checked and check the oil pressure switch for signs of leaking. If the switch is loosing signal then the ECM triggers the stop engine warning light.

Engine stalls at stop lights and stop signs

sounds like the torque converter lock up might not be disengaging. You might also want to check for engine vacuum leaks. Does engine idle smoothly when in park or nuetral ? if the idle is good I would suspect torque converter problem.
