The blend door actuator is vacuum driven. It sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Trace the vacuum lines starting at the firewall in front of the passenger side. With the heater or AC on HIGH and directed at the front vents, listen for a leak or trace the vacuum line back ward to try to find a leak. All the best.

Problem water in foot well ford kuga drivers side

Based on the limited information you gave, it appears as if your heater core is going out. If you live in a climate where it is cold and snowing and use the heater regularly, and also if the car is an older model, there is a great chance your heater core went out. The water runs through the heater core and through a process of convection, the heat from the warm water from the engine is extracted from the water a blown into your heater vents. When the core goes out, a hole forms, the heated water that runs through the heater core now leaks out and runs into your heat vent, and eventually on the floor in your car. The core is located under the dash board, and the whole dash will need to come out to repair it. Usually a costly job, as most vehicle manufacturers list the job as an 8 to 10 hour job. The air conditioner unit usually needs to come out also because it is a part of the heating/cooling system, so after the job is completed, your air conditioner will need recharged with Freon as well.

2008 Ford Ranger heater blows cold air regardless of thermostat position.

Several things can cause a no heat condition. Try this - After the engine is warmed up turn on the heater and place you hand on the two heater hoses (CAUTION THEY WILL BE HOT)- if one is hotter than the other you may have a clogged heater core. The problem could also be as simple as the heat door not opening under the dash.

My diamond necklace fell into my heater vents. I was able grab the chain in time but the diamond fell down into the vent. How do I get into the dash AND the heater vents to retrieve my diamond?

A Ford dealer might be able to help you. The vent heat and air goes down to the air heater, it you take that loose the diamound might just fall out.

I have a 1998 ford ranger and the heat only on defrost vent

Sounds like your blend door actuator in not working properly. One controlls cold/hot mix air other redirects the direction of flow. You can go to your local parts store and see if you can get them to show you the rite part so you know what you are looking for.May be dealer only.Location may be on ither side of the trans. hump on the under side of the dash. Not sure on fords. If you can get it removed and run the controlls to see if it moves.Run it npart way with you hand and see if it returns to the same possition if at all.Problem may also be in your heater/AC controll unit.

A/C will not turn off

you need to replace the controll station this is a common problem on the ranger the controller seems to send a signal to turn on the air con compressor go to the scrap yard and get the correct controll panel and replace it alot cheaper than the oem unit from the dealer at 195.00 here in canada so give that a shot or wire switch direct to the 12 volt compressor clutch wires alot cheaper good luck waiting to hear more re issue
