The traction sensors are the same as the ABS units so check that the new hubs have the correct rotors units that the sensors read from.

SOURCE: front hub bearing changed now traction keeps coming on.

It seems that either the bearing is not properly fitted leading to false alarm being generated(maybe the bearings are too tight) such that the brake pads are not equidistant compared to the other side wheel. Well the thumb rule is to replace both since they are the front wheels. Try refitting the bearing but my instinct tells me to change the other wheels bearing too and get the brakes reset with the help of computer guided sensor settings checking & adjustments as required. This will definitely help but don't forget to recalibrate the sensors with the help of a PC at the service station. Its IMP......sodeep

If you installed hubs that do not have speed sensors for the ABS system then the traction control can not work so it turns on the light.

I have a 2007 Chevrolet uplander van I keep getting three messages , service the ABS system, service the traction system and service the stability system. I have changed front brake pads what else do I...
when you do the pads you will notice wires coming out of the front hubs clean up the plug ins .. its for the abs if the contacts get dirty your lights come on . start here other wise it can get complicated. do the same at rear i dont know if you have rear disc brakes you may not ??

Lockout hubs will not engage took apart tried to clean one could not understand the mechanism inside? it was very rusty inside
if this is the only problem you are having then i would slap some grease in the hub and drive it around for a few days.. you are recommended to lock in the hubs at least once every 3k to keep the grease circulated in the hub. i would try this first before you tear into something that you dont have a book on

Traction control and anti-locks(ABS) lights come on there is sensors that are pluged in behind the rotors check and see if they are disconected or loose sometimes when you change your brake pads they might come loose and not making contact.

Have a 2004 Chevy Impala recently purchased used.
sounds like you have a wheel hub out causing the lights to come on. odds are it would be the front left. it's not sensing right causing the traction control to be turned on. or it could be a loose wire for that hub. gm cars has had a problem with these two issues.

Impala - trac off and ABS light along with service traction syst
THE PROBLEM IS WITH A HUB WHEEL SPEED SENSOR OR MORE LIKELY THE HARNESS LEADING TO THE HUB.

CHECK THE RESISTANCE AT THE HUB CONNECTION, IT SHOULD BE BETWEEN 900OHMS AND 1300OHMS. THEN SWITCH TO A-C VOLTAGE, IT SHOULD BE 100MV WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL BY HAND. IF BOTH CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM IS IN THE WIRING TO THE HUB.

THE RIGHT FRONT HUB USUALLY HAS A BEND, DOWNWARD THEN UPWARD NEAR THE CONNECTOR TO THE HUB. THAT IS WHERE THE PROBLEM USUALLY OCCURS.

NEW HARNESS WIRES CAN BE BOUGHT AT THE DEALER.
