Electrical Problems I am thinking of buying this Gentlemen's GMC. The problem is both electrical seats have stopped working. He says to have it fixed would cost around $150.00 ??. I'm pretty good at fixing things or is this something to leave to the experts. Should I be worried. PS. Owner has said he has checked all fuses and is there any hidden fuses.???

No it does not mean if you look at a fuse that it is good you have to use a voltage tester across the fuse . If the power is there follow the wirring diagram there are relays because the two seat do not work you got a commun connection that is not feed or broken it is always that way 1 check if you got power 2 check down the line until you find the broken connection. I hope that will help you. PS patience

More than likely the motors died. The switch could have also broke. Search the internet for replacement motors. It might be cheaper/easier for a professional to do it.

1993 Mercury Sable Wagon, 3.0 with several electrical problems.

Sounds to me like a switch problem The master window switch should be checked. Also check the door switches to see if they are getting voltage. Could also be bad window motors. Tests need to be done. Is there power to the power seat switch?

99 GMC Envoy 4WD not working

The way to find the problem is electrical testing for the componets that are not working or not working correctly . If someone had the dash a part I would look for a lose connection somewhere ! Finding a wiring diagram for the componets not working . Look to see if wire's share a connector behind the dash or maybe these componets share a common ground . Do you know what a wiring diagram is ? How to use a wiring diagram ? How to do basic automotive electrical testing ? How to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter ?

C200 electrical faults

This is just my opinion being a licenced mechanic since 1974.

Unfortunately, electrical problems are going to be a common problem over the life of this vehicle.
You would be wise to get a full factory manual and familiarize yourself with the repair of electric and other systems as sending it to repaired for the constant problems that will arise in the future will add up to cost more than most other vehicles.
Seriously, the best thing you can do as soon as your friend fixes the defects is sell/trade it before the next problems start.
Strong suggestion......buy a super reliable Lexus and drive trouble free.

2007 yukon headlight wont turn on

Odds are you have a connection problem. Stop & buy a tube of dielectric compound from an auto parts store. Apply it to the electrical connection at the lamp after you make sure there is no corrosion present.

Electric front driver seat stopped working

Check for a short in the wiring below the seat. We had this a few years ago on ours and a wire was rubbing against seat springs underneath.
