I have a 2001 Taurus SES with just over 75,000 miles. When I drive with the a/c running, every so often there is a rapid vibration that I can feel in the gas pedal, and at times it feels as if the car is going to stall out, but it never does. The vibration only lasts about a second, but it occurs on a regular basis. It seems to happen when I'm accelerating to highway speed (60-65), and when I'm on the highway it'll vibrate every couple of miles or so, just for a second. In the city, it seems to occur when I reach around 40-45 mph. I've just had the EGR valve replaced again, and that didn't seem to help. I've had this car for 5 years and I've only started having this problem this year when I had to start using the a/c again.
