This sounds like the thermostat needs replacing as long as the radiator has the proper coolant level. If your vehicle has a temperature guage watch it to see if it is at normal operating temperature after the warm up period. If the temperature goes up and down or doesn't reach what is the normal temperature that is the problem. Normally a bad thermostat will stay open which causes the engine temperature to be much cooler than normal thus no heat.

Transmission shift indicator light on center console.
First make sure the fuse is good.
If the fuse is good then remove the screws holding the center console cover. You will need a long and short phillip screwdriver. Look for screws in the cup holder, under the handbrake handle and where the console runs under the dash. You may have to move seats forward/backward to reach the screws. When you attempt to raise the console cover you will notice you overlook a screws. Remove them also. You may be able to reach the bulb without removing the gear shift handle. DO NOT TOUCH any other electronics you see. The AIRBAG ACTUATOR is located here also. Replace bulb. Test before reassembly. Good Saturday morning project.

Check fuse for fuel pump or injector to see if you're getting fuel, check vacuum hoses for loose connections or tears & holes, check fuse for ignition (under hood). Or simply check to see if your plug wires are sending a spark. You can buy a tool that checks for spark that looks like a spark plug or use a screwdriver (you can google videos to show you how if necessary. If trying to fire, sounds like possible vacuum problem.
