Hey Morant!
So the starter doesn't crank at all? I know it's silIy, but I can't help but ask if you're absolutely sure that the battery has enough power.

If it does have enough power the problem could be that the immobilizer is active. Try to hotwire it: There is a panel with relays on it behind the dash. At the bottom of the steering column, by the drivers feet, there is a panel. Remove it to get access to the relay panel (just a couple of torx screws, no breakable clips as far as I can remember). Remove the "double size" alarm relay (probably marked 210-211). Put a wire between the terminals 50E and 50F. This will hotwire the immobilizer and make sure that it always activates when turning the key. As long as the relay is out you will not have a working alarm and probably not remote central locking either.

If this doesn't help the starter might be broken or (more likely) have bad wiring. Try starting the engine by pushing the car.
Good luck!

Where is the fuel pump relay located on a 1996 850 turbo volvo

Under the hood the fuse compartment has four screw holding it down. Undo the screws and pick the lid up. you will then see some relays located there. The fuel pump relay is the pinkish colored one

1993 Volvo 850 wont start...help?!

It sounds like your fuel pump is having a problem with getting the last of the fuel from your tank. The pump also has a strainer on it. The unfortunate reality with the 1993 Volvo 850 is that the pump and strainer are located inside of your gas tank. You can look for kinks or pinched areas in the line but from your description it sounds like the pump is going. It has to work much harder when the fuel is low in the tank.

1993 Volvo 850 fuel issues

it is the fuel pump for sure. If you can hit the tank and get it to run it is the pump. this drain back (hard start after sitting) is a fuel pump issue as well

Engine stalls

Common fault is the fuel relay. You can either replace relay 103 in the relay box, next to the fuse box, or repair it by replacing the two capacitors inside the relay housing.
