I am getting codes 0443, 0500, 0645, 1282, 1294, and 1391.

I have a 01' Dakota Quad Cab with the 4.7L What is happening. My engine light comes on with my abs and airbag light. my speedometer wont work. my A/C wont work but the fan still does and whatever setting the position of the vent setting is in, it will be stuck in that position. Cruise control will not work. all of this happens at the same time. this will happen and last a day or so, and then everything will work fine for a couple of days. then it'll happen again. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

I sent my suggestion early in this week.
I think he has a weak computer with some parts that open when the computer gets warm. I suggested he find a friend somewhere that
services and repairs vehicles. If this friend will change the computer
with a used one that he has the problem may be solved without high
cost

These codes do refer to the specific symptoms you describe, so unless you had a fire in the engine bay i'd think the problem could lie with the ecu as this is where the sensors/switchs are controlled/connected to ,would need a thorough diagnosis , better to be carried out when the faults are present ,a usual practice is to leave vehicle with the repairer so they have a better chance of seeing what actually happens , hope this is of help

well because the abs light indicates a problem with your anti-lock braking system you need to find out why it is on.... keep in mind one quick way you would disengage your cruise is with the brake pedal.
under the hood is a fuse panel (often located near the battery) ... see if there is a relay in the for your cruise... replace that.

SOURCE: engine check light

It means that it didn't receive a signal from the transmision module.
Have your transmission control module checked.

To reset your engine codes:
Remove the negative terminal of your battery (10mm wrench).
Turn your ignition key to START and hold it there for about 15 seconds.
Turn your ignition key to OFF and remove it.
Connect the negative terminal of your battery.

SOURCE: 2002 dodge dakota quad, stuck in park

Chys. had a recall about a year a go or so on dakotas and durangos to fix that problem, as my wifes 2001 durango she got a recall notice about it in the mail, she was told to take it to a dealer and have it fixed for free whitch she did, and just before that she got one about the upper ball joints to be replaced, and the dealer did that to, free of charge. I don't know if there is a time limit on that or not but it Might be worth looking into.

I have a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab (4.7L / V*). My check engine light kept coming on after tightening the loose gas cap. I purchases a new gas cap specifically for my truck and the light came on again...

Check that there are no other leaks in the gas filler neck or gas tank itself that would cause the gas cap error to cause the check engine light to go on.

A lack of pressure in the tank can cause the check engine light to go on, erroneously signalling that the gas cap is loose or missing.

Good luck on this repair.

Small leak detected in evaporative purge system

if i had to guess I would say that your gas cap is not on tight enough or that is is bad. chrysler has had a lot of bad gas caps that cause EVAP service engine lights.
