I have a 2002 Honda Crv, when the cd changer went to change cd's it started making a clicking sound, the it said error without anything else. The radio and tape player still works fine but the CD player won't let me do anything including ejecting any CDs. Help me please because I'm not bringing it in to honda for them to fix it for 300$

The CD mechanism is jammed. Remove the whole unit for service/replacement.

Honda sells FSM and so does Helm.

i looked at my online source (USA) no changer!
go to honda dealer, ask them for the book or supplement
that covers this changer. it can be in the main book
or in a supplement, just like at all dealers,this rule.
only asking works.(finding book coverages are hard, too hard.)
this includes transmission, and engine options too.
and for sure AUDIO. (ask em')

I have a 2002 Honda (4 door) Civic LX with a build in 6 CD changer. When I turn the ingnition on the light indicadors above each CD # travel back and forth several times. When I press to play, change or eject, it shows ERROR. What can I do?

mustangs do the same thing, on those if you swipe a credit card UNDER the cd while its ejecting it will come out, hope that helps.....

go to the dealer. they warrantied mine when the display went out.

Sounds like the CD changer is defective, sometimes the dealer will offer a "one time goodwill" repair when it is out of warranty for miles but not for the time period. Check with the dealer where you purchased the car.

This sounds like a ground problem to the fuel pump and gas guage sender, they share a common ground connection.

Remove the player and have it repaired, that is all you can do.

the cd changer is malfunctioning, the factory cd changers usually don't last that long because of the heavy use and many mechanical puts

If it were locked it would ask for a code on the radio display, more likely the radio's CD changer is defective, they are very prone to failure.
