How do I Remove the Back seat In A 2003 Oldsmobile Alero?

I'd like to remove the rear bench seat for repairs. I'm not referring to lowering or laying the seat backs down (I know how to do that), it is only the seat I need to remove. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There shouls be 2 straps inside the trunk at the top. Both on the driver side but one is for the left side and one for the right side seats. Pulling on the straps releases the 'lock' that should then allow you to pull down the seats from the back seat area.

SOURCE: I cannot fold down seat

Try looking for a strap in your trunk it should be located at the upper inside of your trunk, there could be one or two straps, when you pull on these straps they act as a release lever for your rear seats, pull the straps toward you and push the seats forward from the trunk side.

Need to remove rear seats key is locked in trunk how do u remove seats

If you push on the front of the back seat and lift at the same time, it should release from the hooks that lock it in. You should be directly inline with the front seats when you're pushing on it and you may have to use quite a bit of force. Hope this helps.

Keys are locked in truck. How do we remove rear seat

I'm going out on a limb here ... is there no remote control access on your key fob? no switch in the glove box ... no opener on the driver side door?

Remove the seat by first pushing the bottom front of the bench part to the rear of the car to unhook the latches, lift it up ... remove the bench. You will then find two bolts ... one on each side of the seat back ... remove them and the seat back should come out ...
