SOURCE: Where is pcv valve located on 2005 taurus
It is below the egr valve close to the intake manifold below the intake air sensor, there is a tube running to it from the engine to recirculate exhaust air with fresh air, there is a clamp holding it to the air intake that you need pliers to remove, then you need to turn counter-clockwise 90 degrees to remove, do the reverse to install. to make it easier to access remove the upper intake. The pcv valve is not visible, however, you can identify it by the 3" inch long rubber hose that connects to the steel line running into the bottom of the intake. I have the part and am going to replace it soon, although Ford really makes it difficult to remove it -
pcv valve is located just under the throttle body. remove air cleaner assembly from throttle body and you will see a u shaped hose running horizontally.
SOURCE: Battery died replaced battery but now the radio
Quick and free fix sir or maam. The radio locks up when the battery is removed on today's cars.I don't know who decided to start it but it is somewhat stupid...I think anyhow. All you have to do is call a Ford dealer and they will give you the code and method to unlock your stereo.Write it down because your battery may get disconnected for many other reasons than a dead battery when repaired.I am pretty sure they just need the VIN.You can put aftermarket stereos in too if you ever want to.Good luck! Greg
In the main fuse block - fuse #18 is listed as "radio and door locks" and fuse #25 is listed as "radio" also.
