Lowside a/c port 2008 gmc savana

The low side port is always the smaller fitting on the larger line. The high side is always the larger fitting on the smaller line. They do this so that the low side fitting can not be mixed up and placed on a high side port.

trace the 2 aluminum lines coming out of the firewall. The one that goes to the compressor has the low pressure port you are looking for. It might be on the dryer (silver cylinder).

This port is located under the air filter box, if you remove the box you will see the highside and the lowside valves, you will hook to the lowside the valves are diffrent sizes and the hose will hook only to the small valve , thats the low side.

The low side port of the 2005 GMC savanna Van is located on the low pressure side of the compressor.

This is found by locating the compressor driven by a belt that has a clutch that engages and disengages as the a/c cycles.

The low pressure piping is always in the larger diameter piping, and the high pressure side is always contained in the smaller diameter piping.

Therefore, follow the thick pipes from the compressor up to the accumulator, which looks like a large can of soup. On the accumulator receiver/drier is a port that connects to the tube that is connected to the can of r134a freon refrigerant.

Simply quick connect the tube to the low side port, which is located on the 'thick' tubing or on the accumulator and then fill until the low side pressure is 25 psi to 45 psi while the compressor is running.

When the car is off and the compressor is not running, the pressure should be 75 psi to 100 psi on a hot day.

Hopefully the system doesn't have a leak slow or fast in it.

If you are recharging the air conditioner - start at the A/C pump, and follow the lines up until you find a black round stub (this unscrews) and this is where you will re-fill (recharge) the A/C.

NOTE: It is recommended to have a professional (certified) mechanic recharge A/C systems, but is not necessary. (laws and regulations vary per state, city, county).

On the 1998 the low side port is behind the passengers side headlight. A black plastic nut looking thing,

If your talking about the low side sevice port to charge your ac, its easy to find. With your recharge kit, it comes with a nozzle to attach to this lowside port. Each port, (lowside and highside), are different diameters. The charging nozzle will ONLY fit onto the lowside port. Just run the length of your ac lines from the compressor and trace them back to the firewall. You should find both ports before you hit the firewall.

on fords ussualy at reciever drier,if not follow large ac line till you find the schrader port.

remember you will always charge an air conditioner on the low side. which is always on the larger hose. there is a smaller one which is the high side so stay away from the small one.. look up near the radiator and see if you see the dryer which is about 3 inches across and 8 inches long and looks like a cylinder.. on this device there is a port where you can charge it .. also this year might be up near the firewall .. they change locations too often .. thanks and holler if you need more. Its by the receiver/dryyer just on the top, thats the big lowside connection, thats what I used to recharge my exact truck
