Are there any known/common electrical problems with the 2004 Honda Accord?

Automatic windows, windshield wipers, door locks, etc. I've had some problems with the driver side door lock & window for some time, just never took in to get fixed. {Also, the driver side seat heater doesn't stay on-since purchased new.} But recently during rain storms, my anti-theft alarm systems went off for no reason & the door locks/window would not work, then on two of these occasions, while I was driving, the drivers side rear window went down by itself & would not go up, until it dried out.

SOURCE: Interior Carpet Getting Wet

It sounds like a plugged drain line from the air conditioner. Most cars now run in the a/c mode whenever u turn on the climate control (even when heat is on). The passenger side front is where it would be wet, and the carpet and carpet pad act like a sponge and will soak up the water. Let me know how u make out.

SOURCE: power door locks not working on 1998 honda accord lx

I promise this works 'cause I used it:

Put the key in the ignition, move the intermittent wiper control to the middle possition and then turn the key on.

just to clarify it's the ring that controlls the intermittent wiper speed and not the int / low/ high switch.

What this does is it resets the multiplex unit that controlls the accessories such as the power door locks. This problem usually happens once the battery has been removed or disconnected and reconnected. Every once in a while the multiplex systems lock up. Especially on the 98s. That's how you wake em up.

SOURCE: Drivers Door Lock Problem

You will probably need to replace the power door lock actuator.

Here's a link to one similar to yours.

You can probably get a used one from a salvage yard.

SOURCE: Remote won't lock the Drivers side lock

hi there you say you have had the lock changed do you mean the key hole or the door closure part of the lock?
if you changed the key part its the main lock that's faulty and the reveres is true ,
if the remote is working on one door it is not the remote that's the problem.
i hope that this has been helpful regards John

Has Honda had a look at it? Beside the engine control module
I believe there is a body control module with relays, etc for
functions like door locks, windows, wipers, so it can get

There is a 10mm nut on the wiper where it connects to the post near the hood. Unscrew it and lift the arm off of the post. Turn it just a little up and put it back on the post. Screw the nut back on and it should work.
