Engine dies randomly figure it was the fuel pump replaced it took for test drive died on me again. motor will turn over but wont start. After waiting a while started for 30 sec then died again. Towed it home got in driveway, started engine was able to park car in desired location. Turned it off tried to restart wouldn't start. Also does not show any codes and believe the battery is ok since it will crank and power windows work well and all But I will put a tester on the battery this evening to verify. This model does not have an inline fuel filter

a cut off switch is almost never the problem just hummor me for a second and please check that the fuel filter is installed correctly not backwards then check the fuel pump fuse and relay if all good check for power at the pump and a good ground if all this is good then the pump need replacement

you may of blown a fuse- this can happen if when you jumped it you had the wires backwards - it causes a voltage spike and can blow fuses

Check Engine light is on. Find out what DTC (diagnostic trouble code) is set and I can help you more. You can get a code puller from your local parts store.

Then you have a intermittent spark . Now do you have a spark tester to test spark. Its okay if you dont we have one . Oh by the way you did the fuel pump yourself. if you can do a fuel pump then you can do this to solve the no start problem. No spark tester? okay we will use that tachometer (RPM gauge). crank the engine does the tach meter reads zero at all times while cranking, if it does youll need a crank sensor. Here the story Rough running conditions and or stalling was caused by a faulty crank sensor, try shaking the connector or wiggle the crank connector then see if it starts. Youll need to inspect the connection for proper male to female connection these have been the most suspectable failure of KIA. If you decide to replace this sensor make sure connections are good, more than likely this was the problem and not the fuel pump
