Push and hold the select and rest buttons at the same time and turn the ignition switch on but not to run. Hold until light goes off.

To reset check engine light... Disconnect the ground (black wire) from the battery. Wait for at least a minute for the computer to reset, then reconnect the ground. Start your car, and the light should not come back on.

You need an OBII scanner to reset..BUT... Autozone, Advance, etc or any good parts store can do it for you for FREE

To reset the Engine Light, you'll need a OBD II scanner. It cost about $100.

Or, you can go to you local auto-parts store. Most stores will turn the Engine Light off for you for free using their scanner.

i dont know how else to do it other than with a diagnostic tester. i think that may be the only way.

Press odometer reset/adjustment shaft in, hold in and turn key to run position. Keep holding in the reset shaft in for about 30 seconds. release shaft. turn key off. restart car. Service Light should go off in about 5 seconds.

You can turn off the Check Engine light by either disconnecting the battery or by using a code reader to clear the codes. However, if the problem still exists it will come right back on. Instead you should get the code read, find out what the problem is, and fix it. Your local autozone or checker auto parts store will read them for free.
