My alarm goes off intermittantly on my 2010 highlander hybrid whether or not it is on or off..... what is the problem?

any problem on a 2010 car should still be covered by warranty.
any alarm that sounds when it is turned off has a possible fault, as does one that is over sensitive.
rather than attempt to sort this yourself, you should get in touch with the dealer as this system should still be under warranty, and anything you do to it may invalidate part of that warranty.

2001 mercury cougar 2door coupe, how do I stop an unexpected alarm?

If it is an aftermarket alarm then you adjust the sensitivity it under the dash youll see a little square box turn to the right and you decrease sensitivity or left to increase lets say a feather fall on it and the alwrm goes off. Now if it is factory alarm they have the access for it and they reprogram the alarm sensitivity.

The alarm on my 528i 98' goes on for no reason ? any idea

There is a short in the transponder,or tranducer itself, are you near a garage door opener, like when someone opens there door and it signal you alarm, Its either picing up a alarm signal else where or its sensitivity is to sensitive itself. depends on the alarm itself there are resistor adjustment for yours, its on the reciever. you may want to adjust the sensitivity so if a feather falls on it it dont go off

1997 mitsubishi eclipse panic alarm goes off for no reason

Hi. Probably the sensitivity sensor is... way too sensitive. If you know where it is installed, you should be able to see a small knob coming out from it. Play with the knob and touch the car while the alarm is engaged to see the level of sensitivity you want, but be cautious. You don't want it too stiff, because when it's time to work, it might not.

My car alarm

if its a aftermarket alarm, there should be a sensitivity switch on the alarm module itself.
