SOURCE: 2005 pontiac vibe just started making like &

you have a bad actuator motor or a broken blend door in the heater box, the noise you hear is the skipping of the gears in the actuator motor, the ehating system along with ac use motors to move doors inside the heater box, the doors control the flow of the air and the temp, you will need to locate the bad one by unplugging one at a time, when noise stops you have the right one, remove it by removing screws that hold it to box. with motor removed look at the hole that controls the door, you will see a small square that the motor turns ,this id part of the door hinge, you should be able to turn side to side, this swings door left and right like a rood door, open or closed, if the door swings good then the actuator is bad, let me get a picture to help you located it, you will located the heater box in the location of the noise, behind glove box, try to acess from the bottom of the dash and also remove glovebox, hope this helps, good dayjohnjohn2_96.jpg

On the 2003 pontiac vibe, what are the 4 relays under the glove box for?

The 4 relays under the glove box of your 2003 Pontiac Vibe are Inv Relay (Inverter), P-Point (Fuel Pump), Htr (Heater Control Relay), and Tail (Tail lights). The Inverter is responsible for the 110v outlet, the Fuel Pump relay is responsible for supplying the fuel pump with power, the Heater Control Relay controls the power flow to the heater, and the Tail relay activates the tail lights when the headlights are activated.

2005 Pontiac Vibe heater fan working on high only

My 2005 Vibe did the same thing it was the heater resistor. It is located to on the firewall behind the glove box on the lower left side of the blower assembly. Two 5.5mm screws hold it in place (1/4 inch socket works too). I used a socket attached to a socket swivel to replace mine in under 10 minutes. Heater now works as good as new. I purchase mine online for $30 from rockauto.

How do I replace a Heater Blower motor in a 2003 Pontiac Vibe?

Remove the Glove box. You will then have access to the Blower unit. There are 3 screws that are holding the blow unit in place. You will need a Phillips screw driver and a 1/4 socket. Once you have located the unit remove the 3 screws and the unit will fall straight down. Unplug the wire harness and then reinsert the new Blower Motor. If you purchase an original GM part this makes life much easier, you just screw the 3 screws back into the holes and then plug the wire harness back in and reinstall the glove box. If you use an aftermaket part you will need to do some wire splicing to make it work but it is a 10 to 20 minute job depending on which part you decide to replace the Blower with.
