If its like my merc its under the passenger side foot well under the dash i think

It is a cartridge type and is situated behind the engine near the body on the left side. You can see it clearly as it looks like a black can with a big nut on top. To make it easier when you look at your engine your fuel filter is on top and the oil is just left from it little down. Hope this helps.

Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel line.

It's under , better to say behind the glove box .
You have to access it from under dash.
Remove kick panel under the dashboard and you will see it.
If you buy NIPPON filter , there is instruction in the box.

The pollen filter for 2006 on s class w 221 is under the clove box passenger side , remove outer cover , this is the one with the light for footwell, 4 screws then the two filters are behind a cover with two slides , remove this and filters are in the housing, remember which way you take out filters as there is a back and front side / airflow direction. Move seat as far back as possible to give you room to work.
