I just bought a 2005 chevy cobalt and we only got one key. But the problem is every time we unlock the car the horns beeps and won't stop until you start the car up. Can you please give me advise to resolve this problem?

I think actually that the key you have and are using is the valet key.. The valet key will only let the car be shut off once and locked and unlocked once. I hope it helps!

Horn no longer sounds when using remote to lock and unlock.
Hold the lock and unlock buttons down at the same time until horn beeps, it should be reset then.

Key won't turn in ignition on 2006 chevy cobalt
on a lot of these late model computer base cars when battery power get low the computer gets confused. try this disconnect the neg. battery cable. charge the battery. reconnect and try again. my son cobalt battery went bad key was stuck in the igntion. good luck.

The battery in the remote may be getting weak, try having the battery replaced.
