My 2011 Nissan Rogue has a squeaking sound when making a left turn.

I'm thinking maybe it's the brakes, but I don't hear metal on metal after applying them. Could it be a belt?

Does it squeak only when you turn left ? Pour a bit of water ( about 2 teaspoonful on the belt and see if noise stops. Also check if left wheel is not touching the mud cover.thanks. Is power steering fluid level ok ?

SOURCE: Rattle in front end on right side

your on the spot on both.
make sure the shock is tight on both end and have a rubber bushing bewteen the car fram and the shock. then try the shock first. take a look at spring while you have it out.
change the belt on the compressor and make sure the pulley is square on the compressor, and the any other pulley the belt goes.

SOURCE: lights and fan belt squeaking

The fan belt is probably just getting a bit older and drying out...so it creates the effect like rubber sneakers on a waxed floor...very squeaky. It shouldn't hurt your performance, and might be able to be remedied with chalk in powder form.

A small amount of this has helped stop squeaky belts before, but generally, a new fan belt doesn't cost much to get installed. If the fan belt itself is visibly cracking or chipping in a place where it bends, it's time to get a new one.

As for the light problems...it's probably a fuse. You could check the lights themselves, but it's probably a fuse issue. Your fuse box will either be somewhere on the topside of your engine compartment, or near the steering column somewhere on the dashboard's underside. Best of luck!

SOURCE: when i make a left turn i hear a bumping and

Several possibilities.

If when slow and tight turns, then probably CV joints. About $100/axle, and if there is no visible tear in boots, might as well do both right and left.

If more at higher speed, and feel vibration in brake pedal, then more likely wheel bearing. Wheel bearings need press on front wheel drive, so about $200.

Last choice is ball joints, because hard to check. See if rubber boot is ripped. You can take pressure off and check for looseness, but not always reliable, and they often get tight before getting loose.
Ball joints will usually make vibration after road bump and may also make thump when braking. If McPherson struts, then only 1 on a side, about $75 each. If not ripped boot, I would do pair. If not strut suspension, then there are 2 per side.

Sounds like the thermostat is missing. May have been taken out because it was faulty. Replace with a new one.

SOURCE: "2008 nissan rogue problem shifting

It is the battery. It is bad and shorting out. Check the manual for directions to trouble shoot until you replace it. There is a small button that you need to remove next to the shifter, place the key in the hole and hold for about 10 seconds. It is a shift release.

I had the same problem. Fixed!

Left turn signal on 2011 Nissan Rogue blinking fast

Check all the turn signal bulbs. The most common reason for fast blinking is a blown bulb. Check they are all working then remove each one in turn to check the connections are clean and dry. If they are all ok your looking at it being a wiring issue.

Grinding noise....sounds like metal

Check the disk brake pads. At slower speeds you can hear them squeak because there is less wind and road noise. The other possibility could be a bad u joint at the ends of the axle half shafts on the front differential. Check both. I really doubt it is the transfer case. You transfer case is engaged all the time. The axle is locked and engaged when you flip the lever by a vacuum motor on the axle shaft on the differential.

I notice when I come to a stop like at a traffic light, I hear a squeak from what sounds like the front passenger wheel. I had it inspected in June and they didn't mention the brakes, it passed the...

Disc brakes usually include a part called a wear indicator. A wear indicator is a small piece of metal attached to the brake pad that contacts the brake rotor when the pad material has been worn down to a certain level. When the wear indicator grinds against the rotor, it makes a squealing noise as you apply the brakes. This noise is a signal which tells you it's time to have your brakes examined.
In other words, noisy brakes aren't something to mess around with. If you hear that sound when you apply the brakes in your vehicle, have them checked out as soon as possible.
I hope this helps.

Front end squeaking possible rotor rubbing something.

Have you checked the metal clips that olds the brake pads in the front galiper bracket. They usualy rust, break loose and come in contact whit the disc, creating a squeaking noise. Those should be replace since they are needed for the brakes to work properly

200SX SE Nissan 1996, making weird noise on passenger side

a little tip for you...it sounds like the pads are squealing, try taking the pads out and applying a very thin film of high temperature grease on the rear of the pads (NOT TO THE FRICTION SIDE), this may seem a bit of an odd thing to do, this tip was passed down to me by an old mechanic friend of mine years ago,and it works every time for me.
