I have 115,00 miles on my Isuzu Rodeo. When I purchased it, it had a little over 90,000 miles. It is a 2001 with a 3.2. l v6. Recently my transmission has been stuttering and slipping in first gear. I figured it out and had the fluid topped off at quick car yesterday. It hasn't slipped since I've done this. It still slams a littl when I put it into drive though and I haven't got it on the highway yet. My question is, is it safe to do a transmission service to get it flushed with the miles I have? I do not have a maintenance record, I don't know when the last one was done. Should I have it serviced or just make sure it's fluid is topped off?
If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know... Ive done some research and aparently it's common among Isuzu's. HELP!!!
It can never hurt to have the tranny flushed and good fluid put in there. If it had issues and was run low on fluid for too long I hope it did not do some damage. Absolutely get it flushed and see if that does the trick. Doesn't matter how many miles really. Dont just keep it topped off, the fluid that's in there now may have picked up some debris and needs to be changed. Hope it helps!
