Why is monitor evap not ready due to battery disconnected scion 04 xb

Why would you replace a gas cap?
You were told, two EVAP Codes ,and what they were.
Have the vehicle smoke tested and repaired. You have two different size leaks,in that system.

It's pretty straightforward EXCEPT you must loosen the engine mount and jack the engine up about an inch to get enough clearance to get it out/in because the engine is about 1/4" too far to the passenger side. Just did my 04' and that was a hard to find piece of missing info.

Possible low fuel pressure. Turn the key on and off a couple of times and see if it will not start better. You may have a weak pump or a bad pressure regulator.

There is a black locking ring holding the bulb in. After disconnecting the electrical connector turn the lock ring approx. 45-90 degrees counter clockwise, remove the lock ring then pull out the bulb.

I had that issue with my scion xb. When I installed my audio system somehow the vibrations loosened the button wires clip . I removed the door panel and clicked it back in, also it could be a dead solenoid or disconnected door wire that goes from the 'noid to the door lock pin.

No i have pulled out the stereo myself and there is no port for it, that option is now offered on the 2008 which sucks because they where giving ipods away at the dealership when i got my 05 Scion xb makes no sense huh.

You can buy a neat little tool called a settingsaver (pretty much a 9v battery that plugs into the lighter. It permits you to disconnect battery without having problems with radio, security system etc.
