Could someone tell me what would cause my 2002 GMC Envoy to stall under acceleration?
I was at an intersection waiting to turn left. When I got my chance I pushed on the accelerator & without warning it stalled out. I turned it off & restarted it & it worked fine after that.

Hi, I exactly I have a gmc 2002 envoy and I have exactly this problem and we just change the oil and all transmission sensor and is still doing it so what problem can be thank you
I have a '05 Envoy, 65k miles. The engine randomly turns off. At a stop light, while making a turn. There are no check engine lights on. Starts right back up. Major pain at intersections.
The throttle body needs cleaning, the butterfly and surrounding area has built up deposits that prevent the butterfly from closing all the way. Visit www.trailvoy.com and search for throttle body cleaning.
sounds like poss throttle pos sensor prob./ could also be problem w/fuel pump not pumping enough fuel at high speed. poss fuel filter clogging also. have someone check pump pressure.
