Use a voltmeter with the key on. Place one lead on the body and go through the pins until u read 12 volts and that will be the hot. Turn on a turn signal and then repeat the steps. You should be able to crack the color code after the process.
Well you are not ALONE .....my 06 3500 does the same thing. no left turn or brake lite on towing. would love to know the solution before taking an AXE to it!!! thank you jesse
all you need is a cheap continuity tester, any one to help tap on the brakes..7pin is just like the 4 pin w/extra power wire for acc.lites,electric brakes.when you buy the 7pin rec.,comes w/wiring schematic standard to all trailer rec.- you can do it..kev-mn.
