Have replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor, battery, emission module, fuel pump, all filters, oxygen sensor and crankshaft sensor
I wild have to work on this until I duplicated it, then check the vehicle while it was messing up. You could have one defective component even if you just replaced it. (Fuel pump, ignition module, crank sensor, etc.) You could have simply a bad coolant temp sensor, or maybe your mass air flow sensor causing problems. You could try unhooking your coolant temperature sensor and seeing if it wild start. This makes the pcm look at a default value. You can try the same thing with the mass air flow.Do you have access to a scanner when it is messing up? Have you checked for spark at the plugs? Have you checked your fuel pressure? Sorry, I would have to actually work on it.

Did you check the fuel sysytem hapend to me fulty wire for
fuel pump
Hi Cindy, I don't know ok, but you could try turning the ignition on and off about 20 times, what I mean is just start it then turn it off then back on.... Let me know how ya go. Greg.
Check wires ,(power wires) going into the distributor. And make sure everything in their has good connection

1999 Yukon Start Issue - I have replaced the octopuse, battery, fuel filter, fuel pump, still having problems starting in cold weather, sometimes after a heavy rain.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

do you have access to a scanner to check the computer , possibly the computer has gone bad .
SOURCE: GMC JIMMY NO START BUT GOT SPARK AND FUEL
try the oil pressure switch, that was a common problem on Gm trucks when I used to work on them, the oils switch was bad and woulden't allow it to start and the ones I worked on were on the back of the distributor.

Hi!!
I didn't see you checking Coils, Ignition Timing, TPS, IAC Selenoid, MAP Sensor, Alternator Output Voltage, Vacuum Leaks, Cylinder Compression.
Let's check those things and we go from there !!
Good Luck!!!

hello there friend. sounds like your hitting your head against the wall. :)
engines only need a few things to run..your task is to determine what is missing...1, they need fuel, to checked this attach a fuel pressure guage to se if geting at least about 40psi (cant remember spec)..if you have fuel pressure, check for spark at spark plug...remove plug and attach wire to plug, grounding it out against engine block ..away from any engine wireing as it can send a voltage spike through system causing further damages...if you have fuel, and you have spark, you must then check to see if you have ai..compresion to be exacy..remove spark plug and crank engine over..see if you can hear air hufing in and out of cylinder..if you have a compression guage install it, your pressures shoudl be within 10% of each other across all cylidners. if not you may have an inernal engine failure..there are many more questions..when and why did it stop running, how was it running prior to failure, etc... is the engine oil saturated with fuel from leaking injectors? this could cause the rings to wash out and not build up compression...i hope thuis helps you out...
