Sounds like a bad temp. sensor, sender, or wiring.

If the EKA code contains a 0, then you have a problem that should never have got to you - the dealer should have spotted the duff EKA and changed it! I have no idea how you'd get it back from such a state, other than programming a new BCU to the engine ECU, and then new keyfobs to that BCU. This is assuming the 0 isn't just a mis-print or an 8 ? Best to get the dealer on this.
(In order to access security you have to insert the key and turn to position I and I don't think the system would let you in until it was disarmed)

Hi.

The problem can be the Bosh crankshaft position sensor. The problem is common with this vehicle, and does not turn on CEL. If you do a code scanning, you will probably find at most misfire and lean mixture codes.
Before replacing the crankshaft, check engine codes, replace air and fuel filter, test fuel pressure using a gauge tool in the port in fuel rail.

There are many forums where you can find users discussing about the same problem. Here one:

I have a 93 GMC 4x4 gauges started bouncing lights flickered truck died headlights work dome light works will not turn over battery is good what could it be

You may have to check your ignition switch, also check voltage to and from ignition switch. Your instrument cluster should get voltage feed from ignition switch. Anything electrical, you want to check voltage and ground for that system.
Your starter motor circuit usually has two voltage circuits, one comes straight from the battery, hot all the time. The other circuit goes hot with key in the crank position and is wired through the neutral or clutch switch, depending on the tranny. The starter usually grounds through the engine block. You may have a starter relay? I haven't looked at your wiring. Any testing at the starter make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set.

My 2006 300c starts sluggish and won't stay cranked; then the red gas light and the engine light stayed on. Now it won't crank at all.

Could be many things. Best would be to read codes for a hint. Stuck EGR, leaky fuel injectors, bad fuel pump (test with pressure gauge), bad coolant temp sender, bad crank sensor, bad ignition module/coil, others also.

The temperature gauge goes up when car starts to HOT like its out of calibration. the engine is not overheating

check that the wire to the temp sender unit has not fallen off and is shorting out on the head/block. The power comes from the ignition switch through the gauge down to the sender unit and because the sender is a temperature controlled resistance unit the voltage is very low and so the gauge reads cold . as the temperature heats up , the resistance is decreased and so the voltage is increased though the gauge and the needle reads higher.. Hench if the gauge goes directly to hot on start up the wire is shorting out or the sender unit is faulty.

Impreza temp gauge goes straight to normal even when cold

had this problem on my corsa years ago and if i remember it was an earth strap and been left off on the engine so i would check ur battery terminals and connections on the sensor, if that doesnt work the sensor has possibly failed, it shouldnt over heat though as cars usually have a sensor on radiator for the fan to kick in and out

My temp gauge is flucuating when it reaches temperature and then goes back down a few notches and also when i turn off the engine the temp gauge stays at 1/4.

Check coolant level to make sure it is full. Also may want to check your thermostat as it could either be clogged or stuck open. Cheap enough to just replace. Always a good idea to flush the coolant system before a new thermostat is installed.
