SOURCE: Heater hose, 95 Astro

SOUNDS AS THOUGH THE HEATER CORE IS PLUGGED. TRY BACK FLUSHING IT AGAIN. IF YOU STILL GET NO FLOW IT IS MORE THAN LIKELY PLUGGED AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE TUBES ARE VERY SMALL AND PLUG EASILY WITH RUST.

SOURCE: which is the heater intake?

There are 2 hoses that go thru the firewall on the passenger side. One carries hot water from the engine water jacket, to heat the core, and the other brings the water back to the radiator. Follow the hoses to see which one goes to the radiator and the other will be the heater intake. Another way to tell, with the heat on, the hotter of the 2 will be the intake.

I have a 2000 Pontiac bonneville that all of the sudden just blows cold air on heat. I changed thermostat and cap and flushed it out and checked blend door .one heater ode is ho and one is cold

It could be the heat control valve (either black plastic, or brass) close to the fire wall with heater hoses running into, and out of it. Otherwise...the heater core.

What is the heater hose routing on an 86 mercury grand marquis 5.0

Look at the fire wall you will see two hoses going through the wall they are 3/4 inch they will be your heater hoses one routes out the back of the intake manifold I believe the other is by the ECM valve.
Are you missing your heater hoses if so it may be that you have a bad heater core have you owned this car for long. If you are needing to reinstall all your hoses look on You Tube you will probably find a video telling you how to do it.

Heat dont work

no heat is cause by many things (coolant not at 180F and holding?)
no blower?
damper closed.
as you said the water valve.
location:
see heater, see the core, see the 2 brass tubes passing thru the fire wall. ? they go to hoses. and if car has a valve its there.
some cars dont use a valve at all.
ill look yours up. USA spec car. bingo on valve.
so here is 91, camry. im looking now, its just like i said above
at the fire wall hose; to heater core.
what i do is here.
1: engine hot?
2: are both above hoses hot, (no fail, yes, good.)
here is a list of every heater failure possible.

http://www.fixkick.com/AirCond/heater.html

it's only 2 rules.
air must flow
the hot water must flow.
or it fails.

you can look at any time at alldata.com
or buy the FSM. for best play, (i promise)

Problem with my '97 Chev Astro Cargo van. I need to reconnect the two vacuum lines running from the heater into the engine compartment. I found the larger one disconnected and in poor shape. When I...

One line supplies vacuum from the intake manifold to the control panel. The other line runs back from the control panel to the heater water control valve, which is along the heater hose. The vacuum port on the valve is at the top of the cylindrical actuator.

3100L motor.owner replaced waterpump and thermostat.any other ideas?

Bleed radiator and check valve that allows antifreeze
to flow through the heater core. Follow the in-out
heater hoses toward fire wall to locate valve and
operate temperature control to see if it moves.

Where is the idle air control valve located in a 2001 chevy astro van

You'll need to remove the interior engine cover(dog house).Torx screws for the covers, 2 bolts on floor. and bolts against the fire wall (i use a long extension with a swivel socket at the end). The IAC valve is screwed in to the side of the throttle housing (where the gas pedal hooks up to the engine).I can get a pic if you need it.

No heat 95 escort

2 things to check

one take the hoses back off the fire wall take a hose and flush out the core both directions
till the water flows freely and clean this will eliminate the possibility of the core being stopped up

then you need to check the Heater ac blend door to see if it is moving when you slide the control from cool to hot the cable may be off or the door arm broken

hope this helps David
