No a knock sensor can not make a misfire. Check the coils, plugs and fuel pressure .The random misfires are cause the knock sensor to throw the code.

If you have someone scan it with a scan tool that gives you data stream they can tell you exactly what cylinder is doing it. You might have a bad coil or wire.

PO 171 and PO 300 CODE GMC ENVOY

the sensor to replace is the HO2S sensor which is different to an O2 sensor. (has a different function)
code p0300 is random/multiple misfires
as misfires are from the electrical components you did not pay attention to items like low fuel pressure and faulty injectors which also cause random misfires.

Is there an erg valve on a honda accord 2008 4 cyl

code p0300 refers to--random/multiple cylinder/s misfire detected...Causes---spark plugs---HT leads---injectors---ignition coils ---low compression ---wiring
code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected Causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/fuel system ---ECT/MAF sensors ECM
code po303 refers to cylinder 3 misfire detected Causes Engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system ---injector---ECT/MAF sensor ECM The common fault to all is the fuel/system ignition
I would have the injectors checked and have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check pump and fuel regulator valve.

Multiple cylinder misfire, codes P0354, P0356, P0357, P0361

clean the MAF, Mas Air Flow Sensor in the air intake tube first. Use carb cleaner or MAF cleaner. Do not touch the 2 sensor wires that you spray. delicate!!

ALso, put a bottle of Chevron Techron Fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank, 1/4 tank or less.

Try that first. Also, replace spark plugs, put antiseize on the threads. Last resort is to replace the COPS, Coil on plug for each offending cylinder.

Misfire Definition: A misfiring cylinder is lacking power relative to the other cylinders. The causes for a cylinder specific misfire could be fuel, spark, or mechanical problems. Perform a thorough visual inspection. If no visible concerns are found use the following WDS tools for misfire diagnosis:
  • Self-test (Check for codes first)
  • Power Balance (Identify the cylinder of concern)
  • Relative Compression (Rule out a possible mechanical issue)
  • Fuel (Make sure fuel injectors are not restricted) (plugged)
  • Ignition (Make sure spark plugs and coils are working properly)
  • Oscilloscope (Detailed signal analysis)

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant with rough idle and no power when accelerating. Replaced spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, MAF, both oxygen sensors, air filter and the engine still...

I am having the same issue on Mitsubishi Galant 02. Clattering on acceleration, herky jerky idle. Pulled a code multiple cylinder misfire. My mechanic's diagnosis is bad valve cover gasket causing oil to seap into the spark plugs and bad timing belt, which I have not replaced at 150k miles. I do however know my fuel injectors do need cleaning, he hasn't ruled that out either. Have you pulled any code on it? I have read on engine knock sensor going out on some of these also. Hope this helps some.
