How to remove the rear windshield motor wiper?

If after all this time you still need to replace the back wiper.
There is a plastic lever where the wiper attaches to the arm.
Squeeze this lever against the metal wiper arm, while pushing
the wiper blade towards the base of arm. It should unhook
the blade from the wiper arm.
Good luck.

How To Install Replace Windshield Wiper motor on a Honda Odyssey

Put the right side wiper on only. Turn on wipers. When the wiper moves all the way to the left and starts to go back to the right turn off the ignition with the wiper switch still on. Remove the right wiper arm and install the left wiper arm in the far left of the wiper movement. Turn on ignition and allow the left wiper to go all the way back to it's rest location at the bottom of the windshield. Turn off ignition and install the right side wiper arm. This will give you a start to properly set the wiper arms.

Can't get wiper blade arms off. need replaced

lift the arm away from the windshield. if the tension spring is damaged or broken, the arm will not show

resistance. if it is working properly, then pull the arm back until the hinge locks in a verticle position.

remove the retaining nut at the bottom of the windshield wiper arm and pull the wiper arm off.

slide the new wiper assembly on.

tighten the retaining nut and lower the arm back down to the windshield. you will need a wrench and

socket set. good luck!

When i use my windsheid wipers it wont trun off? and how to adjust wiper not set right? thanks

try this steps to adjust your wiper.
1. Place the keys in the ignition, turn the keys to accessory mode (key-on/engine off), and make sure the wiper motor switch is in the off position. Turn the ignition switch to the off position and remove the keys. The wiper arms are now in their parked position, although may not be properly aligned.
2. Access the bottom of the compromised wiper blade arm. You may have to open the hood or remove the wiper arm cowling (refer to the owners manual for the removal of the cowling on your specific vehicle if required).
3. Locate the retaining nut at the bottom of the wiper arm assembly. Some models will have a protective plastic cap covering the nut. Other vehicles may have a hinged cover that is part of the wiper arm itself. Pry the cap off with a straight-edge screwdriver or unsnap the hinged cover by prying it up from the bottom of the wiper arm with the screwdriver to reveal the retaining nut.
4. Hold the wiper arm stable with one hand and remove the nut with the ratchet and a socket with the other.
5. wiggle the wiper arm gently with one hand while gently prying the base of the arm off the splinter wiper arm stud. The stud has a small spline that holds the wiper arm in the correct position unless otherwise compromised. The wiper arm will feel secured to the stud, but the combination of wiggling gently and prying with the screwdriver will work to remove the arm.
6. Place the arm back into the splined wiper arm stud by positioning it in the off position. some vehicles may have a wiper arms stop that the arm rests in the off position. If so, make sure that the wiper arm is resting against the wiper arm stop when replacing it on the stud.
7. Replace the retaining nut and tighten with the ratchet socket. repaet this procedure with the other wiper arm if desired.
8. use 2 sets of pliers to bend the wiper arm back into position if the wiper arm has been bent. Hold the wiper arm with one set of pliers to anchor it and use the other set to bend it so the wiper is perpendicular to the windshield. If the arm is bent too badly, replacing the wiper arm maybe a more viable option.
9. Inspect the wiper blades.check them for tears in the rubber blades, dry cracking or flimsiness.Replace the wiper blades if necessary.

How do i replace the wiper arm-not the blade and what tools do i need?

U need a socket or a wrench, 13mm i think, then just follow these instructions

  • Grab the trim cover over the base of the wiper arm with your thumb and forefinger and pull it upward to expose the wiper stud and nut.

  • 2

Remove the nut from the wiper stud with your socket set.

  • 3

Grab the wiper arm where it slips over the wiper stud with one hand and pull straight up to remove the old wiper arm. Discard the old arm.

  • 4

Align the splines in the new arm with the splines in the wiper stud, making sure the wiper arm aligns properly in conjunction with the windshield, and push the arm down onto the wiper stud by hand.

  • 5

Thread the nut back onto the wiper stud and tighten it down with the socket set. Push the trim cover over the stud and nut until it clicks into position.

The wiper arm came off of my 2004 pontiac grand am. how would i put it back on?

If it's the blade arm it's generally always best to replace it new and will come with new fasteners.

If it's the assembly arm itself depending upon how it was broken off you may need to replace assembly the arm from the stem complete with new / serviceable used bracket.

I have a 1997 Grand Prix GTP and my windshield wipers won't work

The wiper arms are a "friction fit" on the wiper linkage studs.
Remove the cap from the end of each wiper arm, remove the retaining nut, carefully pry the wiper arm off of the stud. Clean out the inside of the arm hole and also clean up the stud. Position the arm back in to proper place on the wiper arm "park" stands and the linkage stud. Put the nut back on the stud and tighten down.
    This should solve your problem.

    Wiper Linkage

Take off both of the wiper arms and try to use wipers if they are moving you didn't install the arms correctly. If thats the case with the arms off and the wipers running turn them off with the wiper switch and wait for them to "park", then tun off the ignition and reinstall the arms in their proper location. Also when the linkage falls off you should replace it with a new one. It is a ball and socket fitting and when it fails it spreads the plastic socket and loosens it up. It is also reccommended when you are inside there you should always replace the linkages in pairs and also check the pivots (the knurled studs that the wiper arms bolt to) for play and if necessary replace these as well. Good luck.
