You can take loose the black plastic shield that runs from inner fender to bottom of bumper. once loose you gain access to back of fog light where mounting bolts are located if its just the bulb your replacing you can also do that without removing it

2004 Dodge Neon. I hit a curve on the road and now there is a wire hanging on the passenger side behind my headlight anybody knows what it is?

Curves in the road are a common occurrence and cars are easily equipped to go around them.

The wire could be off a number of things, but you can test by turning all the lights on, especially the low level fog lights. Also try the horn, as if I remember correctly it is located above the passenger wheel arch liner.

Changing fog light bulb

I would recommend going from bottom behind bumper. Probably the easiest way.

How do you replace the fog lamp on a 1997 dodge neon? As best as I can tell, you have to take off the front bumper which I hope is not the case.

To replace the fog light of the passenger side you need to remove the fog light bolt and pull out the fog light assembly, then you can remove the bulb and put a new one in.

To replace the fog light on the driver side you will need to remove the front bumper cover so you can remove the vacuum box that is in the the way of the fog light bolt.

To do so you need to remove the Torx (star) screws located in the front wheel wells as well as the bolts holding the plastic by the radiator. "CAUTION: DO NOT UNBOLT THE RADIATOR."

If any of the screws are rusted into place put some penetrating oil them to help loosen them up.

Changing Fog Lights

if you look directly under the bumper just under the fog light you will see a bracket that holds a 13 mm bolt. undo that and pop the light out from the front of the bumper and replace the bulb. install is the reverse
