Remove overhead console - 2007 Chrysler 300 AWD Sedan

Remove the visor clips on both sides of the overhead console bracket. You can then pull down the headliner just enough to slide the bracket out over the rearview mirror.

Following the steps below on your Audi Q3:

1 Unhook the negative (black) battery cable with your pliers. The overhead console contains electrical connections; disconnecting the negative battery cable prevents shock.

2 Open the sunglasses holder (the compartment closest to the front auxiliary controls). Remove the Phillips screw from inside the holder.

3 Disconnect the electrical connections to remove the console. Squeeze the tabs on the outside of the electrical connections to disconnect them. Lower the overhead console from the headliner.

4 There are connections at the rear (dome light) and connections at the front (auxiliary controls).

If you just want to replace the dome lights the clear buttons on the console can be removed carefully, The buttons will snap out from the console and the bulbs will be underneath.

1. Remove the screw from the inside of the sunglass storage bin.
2. Release the three clips and slide the roof console forward and then down. (pull down to release clips).
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

This will remove the main overhead console. Good luck.

This is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. With the overhead console ( non rail system ), open the sun glass bin, and grab each corner in the back, and pull down.

The overhead is held on with 4 or 6 spring clips, and pulls straight down.

The bulbs are 1/4 twist sockets installed from the back of the overhead console.

1.) Disconnect negative battery cable.
2.) Remove screws attaching front of overhead console to front of bracket.
3.) Pull console downward from area near courtesy lights. 4.) Disconnect electrical connectors and remove console from vehicle.

To install, reverse removal procedure.

Check fuses #21 40 amp check relay jump 12 volts to motor circuit
Overhead Console Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

1. NOTE: Remove the interior lamp as a unit.
   Ease out the interior lamp.
   • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. Remove the overhead console screws.

1. Remove the overhead console.
   • Apply an even downwards force to both sides of the console.
   • Disconnect the roof opening panel switch electrical connector (if equipped).
• Disconnect the information and message center electrical connector (if equipped)

Roof Opening Panel Motor Removal

1. Remove the overhead console. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.

1. Disconnect the sliding roof motor electrical connector.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Looks like it is pretty easily removed.

Use a small screw driver and pry open the garage door opener storage bin. You will see 1 screw there that you will remove.
Pull the front of the overhead console down and remove the console from the console retaining clips.

1. Depress the side tabs and remove the overhead storage bin.
2. Remove the overhead console.
3. Disconnect the 2 overhead console electrical connectors
4. Remove the dome lamp assembly.
