SOURCE: sunroof stuck open

check the fuse. then check the switch with an ohm meter see if it has resistance when you press the switch up or down. check for power to the switch and motor with a test light, possible tap on the sunroof motor to unfreeze it.

What would be the problem with our toyota 4runner starter motor that when we turn the key the starter motor just makes a grinding noise, is it the starter motor or something else??

The grinding noise is the starter hitting the fly wheel. This means that the starter is spinning but may not be engaging all the way. Your Flywheel is probably missing a few teeth now. I recommend replacing starter and flywheel. If you're on a tight budget then you could just replace the starter but it will cost you more in the long run.

Sunroof stuck

First off, you should leave it closed. At least you can drive it that way. The grinding could be the motor itself, or a gear inside that has rounded or broken teeth. Another possibility is that it has slipped out of a channel or track. Unless you're pretty handy this sounds like a professional repair job.

Not working = power rear window, power antenna, starter

it looks like the starter is bad, install a new one. the antenna gear is broken, needs to be replaced and you need to check the rear hatch for any obstructions
