SOURCE: lost all oil pressure no oil getting to top of engine
mileage?..over heated? oil to top is function of oil pump and oil passageways ..bad worn lower engine (crankshaft/bearings)......oil pump push rod..under distributor driven gear down into block to oil pump in oil pan..clogged passages/oil filter/oil filter bypass...... do a oil pressure test while cranking from port on side of block low and determine if bottom end has the pressure first

most likely the problem is the oil pressure sending unit or the oil passage to the sending unit is partially plugged, that is unlikely, I would replace the sending unit 1st.
SOURCE: oil pressure high when engine cold. but fine when engine is warm
It is normal for oil pressure to be higher when the oil is cold. As the oil heats up, it will thin out. Since your oil pump is driven faster with the acceleration of the engine, your pressure will also increase. On a engine up to full temp, your oil pressure will probably be around 20 psi and maybe up to 60 at full load. But on a cold engine, you may see 60 psi at idle. I dont know if your high oil pressure is causing your vehicle to stall, but maybe your running the wrong weight/type of oil for your truck. If you live in a extreme cold area, you may want to look into a block heater to help warm up your engine faster.

Sounds to me like the Throttle Position Sensor. Thats usually what makes the throttle "rev" But that is not going to make the oil pressure drop. Pull the codes from your car and look them up online. sometimes there is an extra fuse u can add to your panel and turn the key on and it will flash your codes via the check engine light. i.e. if the light flashes 2 times then small pause then 1 time and long pause that is code 21. if there isnt a extra fuse you can usually jump it with a paperclip and pull the codes. not really sure how to do that with yours. but im positive Google knows ;)

There is a good chance that your have a intake manifold gasket failure and your losing coolant through your intake gasket causing the overheating or your head gasket has gone bad causing your overheating and the lost of oil pressure. Check your condition of oil to make suer there is no coolant mixed with your oil and also check your coolant in the radiator when the engine it cold. Don't want you to get burning. This would be the worst thing that could be happening to your blazer, as for the over heating. You may be lucky that it's a bad thermostat and it's going to need to be replaced. The low oil pressure could be a bad oil pressure sending unit and that is located at the back of the engine block by the distributor or the oil pressure relief valve has gone bad and that is located at the remote oil filter line housing at the engine block, drivers side.
Good luck and hope it's not the intake,or head gasket. Thank you for using Fixya
