1 one spark plug or all 4? (key fact one missing)

insert honda OBD1 diagnostic jumper (or as FSM directs)

engage Diag mode.

then crank engine for 5 seconds.

then release key,

does the ECU flash out codes for a failure.,, BINGO

all cars work like this 1987 to now, USA>

what engine, of the many?

fsm quotes (and vast on line data same on all honda\'s)

there are more online facts on honda\'s than any car.

they race them and have hacked them to infinite levels.

now thequote

On 1990-95 Accord (except V-6) and 1992-95 Prelude, the codes are read from the check engine light after the two-wire service connector has been jumpered. On Accords, the service connector is under the dash on the passenger side. On Preludes, it is located behind the center console. Codes 1 through 9 are indicated by a series of short flashes; two-digit codes use a long flash for the first digit followed by the appropriate number of short flashes. For example, Code 14 would be indicated by 1 long flash followed by 4 short flashes. Codes are separated by a pause between displays. Multiple codes are transmitted in an alternating pattern. For example, a code 3 and 14 would be displayed as 3 short flashes (for Code 3) followed by the separator pause, then 1 long flash and 4 short flashes (for Code 14).

my comment, code 4 or 8 tells you , CKP or CMP sensors are dead.

in gringo that is "crank or cam sensors dead)

the ECU can report even , 1 in 10 pulses missing.

its very very , accurate in this report.

crank

release key

wait a minute to see if the ECU sets DTC errors.

do not turn off the key,or it erases them. wait, for 5min.

1992 Honda Accord. No spark?

Check the battery voltage static and when the key is being turned. It should be 12.8 to 13.2 volts.

You have changed everything that is responsible for a 'no spark' issue. Does it have and anti-theft system, and solid red light on the dash?

What would cause my 1992 honda accord to stop without overheating, it does turn over like its trying to start

Your going to have to check for spark, Accords had problems with the igniter in the distributor, also check for fuel pressure 34-41 PSI, now when the igniter fails there is no spark and no fuel pressure because there is no power to the pump,

My honda accord has fuel and turns over but wont start what can i do ?

Pull spark plug, make sure you put wire back on, ground it against metal on engine, now have somone turn over engine, watch for spark.
No spark ? then you need ign. ignitor
Also if no spark is the distributor turning ? we want to make sure you did not break your timing belt.

Ignition coil, transistor, rotor, distributor cap or other component in ignition circuit like ignition switch- may crank but no spark. In that order. Good luck.

1992 honda accord stop running in middle of driving

When you turn the key to start, the engine cranks over? You must check for spark and fuel, if one is missing, the car won't run. Pull a spark plug, with plug wire connected and plug on a metal surface of the engine, have someone turn the key to start, while you watch for spark at the plug. It is easiest to see spark with car out of direct or bright light. If you have spark, attempt to start several times, pull a spark plug and check for evidence of fuel (wet) on plug. Let me know what you find, we can then continue.
