How to change hearter fan in a 1999 - 2002 Ford Taurus

HEATER CORE IS BAD IF SELECTOR IS ON HEAT AND BLOWS COLD AIR THEN THE HEARTER CORE IS BAD

there is a valve it connects to the heater slider bar that controls the hot water to the heater core if its not fully open or stuck you wont get hot water good luck

probably the hearter hoses or core for the rear heater controls. See if you can find the leak. If it's inside and you want to do it your self, get back to us for instructions.

Look under the dash,for the fan motor,if you dont see it look under the hood ,on the firewall, or in the hearter a/c air box housing maybe the evaporator housing is there under the hood the fan must be close by turn on the fan and listen for its local.There may be something in the housing that is scraping the fan cage as it turns or a dry sleeve bearing,esp if you are needeing to change fuses often.

i have an 01 rio and the haeter blower burned out twice,it does have 310,000 miles so i cant complain. i was able to repair mine by installing new brushes but it was a big task.
its easy to change out the motor its below the glove box get on passenger side floor with a phillips screw driver unplug the connector at the fan motor and take out the three screws that hold it in, then pull it down and tilt a little at the bottom towards the back.auto zone has one with the fan and every thing for 109.99 part # EVERCO 35079

Yes a fuse or a relay check both or you may just have a relay

ok, does the heater hoses that goes to the hearter core on your fire wall get hott, if so heater core is shot or one of the hoses r pluged or the heat selector by your fan or under dash is shot... an if your fan dont run kick it or its seezed, or a fuse.... sorry i dont no wat else to say..

Relay for the heater fan is the most likely problem, replace the relay and if that does not fix the issue the problem could also be in the resistor pack for the fan control.

Have you changed your thermostat? I test all thermostats to make sure they work before I install them. Also back flush the hearter core. Disconnect the heater hoses and flush the core. I see a lot of these clogged. Hope this helps.
